Segmentation of a picture by means of its eight bit planes [Segmentation d'une image utilisant ses huit plans de bits].




The original picture (bottom -first row-, false colors), the eight bit planes (from 2^0 second row left, to 2^7 third row right) and the two segments (using the planes {2^0, 2^1, 2^2, 2^3, 2^4} [=small details] and {2^5, 2^6, 2^7} [=general outlines] respectively) of the original picture (upper row, blue and false colors respectively)
