An aperiodic Penrose tiling of the plane [Un pavage de Penrose apériodique du plan].




This tiling contains 106+68=174 lozenges, 106 are "fat" and 68 are "slim", hence the ratio 106/68 equals to 1.559 that is very close to the Golden Ratio (=1.618033988...).
